What Does it Mean for You?

Have you ever thought about exactly what the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus actually means for the believer? Wow, what a question! There are so many things that it means, that I cannot name them all, so I will just list a few of the categories. It means that God made me like He did for a reason. Since He died for my sin before the foundation of the world, He must have had a plan for me too. It means that I do not have to pay an eternal price for my sin. It means that I can live this life free from guilt and shame, even though I have done some seriously wrong things. It means that I have a home in heaven prepared for me. It means that when I die, I will go there. It means that I will spend all of eternity with all of those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. It means that I do not have to fret about my day of death (that is getting closer). It means that I should live with hope in me, and hope on my lips sharing the good news of Jesus with others who might not yet have the assurance that I have.
