Prayer of Confidence in God's Power
This week we take a look at a prayer that Paul prayed for the Ephesian believers. Now we can honestly say that their immediate needs were probably a bit different than ours. We are not worried about the crops (unless you are a dirt farmer, and we have few of those in Murray County), or the cold winter or hot summer. Most reading this at least have some way of holding back the worst of cold and heat. While Paul certainly prayed for his physical ailment 3 times (that we know of) his prayer life it seems to me, was focused much differently than ours. His focus was almost exclusively about spiritual things. He expressed thankfulness for the past, a deep passion for the spiritual needs at the moment, and a cool confidence in what God was going to do going forward.
