True or False
This week and one more, and our series on “The Sermon on the Mount” will be over. I have certainly enjoyed this study, and I hope that you have too. This week we consider Matt. 7:15-20. Jesus this week is warning us about false prophets, who come in sheep’s clothing (They wear the outfit of a shepherd), but inwardly they are ravaging wolves. These guys are frauds. I am guessing that some of these frauds were in the crowd that day as Jesus spoke. He did not name them but he pointed out the character of a fraud. They often pretend to be something that they are not, and much of what comes out of their mouths is not accurate when compared to the scriptures. These guys have “the self” on the mind and “the self” shapes every move that they make. They often thirst for power, money and all of the perks that accompany those two things. They wear the disquise in order to get close so they can do their dstardly deeds. The children of God must be informed and must be discerning to be able to spot the frauds.
