Becoming a Lover

Last week we learned all about the negative parts of loving others. We might even say the things not to do. This week we get a view of the things that we are to act upon. It is obviously good NOT to punch someone whom you love, but it is even better to hug them, right? This week we take a look at the Golden Rule: “whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the law and the Prophets.” What if all of us who claim to know Christ actually practiced this? How long has it been since you actually asked the Lord to help you to be His man or His woman as you live out your life? How long has it been since you pursued Him and His way above everything? How long has it been since you stayed up half the night knocking on heaven’s door for wisdom, discernment, energy to fight on etc.? Does your relationship with the Father guide everything in your life? Does it determine which side you fall down upon in everything?
