We are Never the Same

Jesus reminds us this week, that we are salt and light. Remember, He is not suggesting that we should be, He says emphatically that we are. The meaning is clear, if you are a believer then you are wired by God to be salt and light. We won’t try to name all of the things that salt does, but rest assured the people listening to Jesus knew the importance of salt in the ancient world. It kept corruption out and it preserved along with a long list of other things. Light drives away darkness and helps us to see what is before us. If you claim to be a believer and are not living as salt and light then there is a problem.
